The aim of the master´s degree study branch Business Administration that is being taught in English is to prepare graduates for economic, managerial, entrepreneurial, administrative and other positions and activ- ities within the bounds of both the national and international labour markets. Students obtain advanced theoretical knowledge of commercial and entrepreneurial processes in the Czech Republic and the EU entrepreneurial context. They learn to understand theories, concepts and methods employed currently in business.
Special notions from economics, management, commerce, logistics and other areas are implemented in the study branch. Students obtain deep knowledge of the entrepreneurial and administrative activities connected to establishment, management and administration of both the entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial bodies. They have practically applicable knowledge of economic and financial analyses at their disposal, as well as prognostic methods and strategic analyses. They understand problems of strategic management, personnel management, bookkeeping, marketing, logistics, wholesale and retail commerce. They are orien- ted in the questions of commercial law, international commerce and international economic relationships.
The graduates are capable of managing and transforming the working environment or the social milieu, be it possibly a complex one, or such where changes cannot be predicted with certainty. They can discover new strategic approaches. They can become fully responsible for expansion of professional qualification levels, proceedings, techniques and processes and for the strategic decisions assessment. They can apply their knowledge when solving problems concerning entrepreneurial and administrative activities; in broader con- nections at the medium-level or top-level management, too. They are prepared to proceed independently and creatively. They are capable of applying in practice their theoretical knowledge of economic, financial and strategic analyses, prognostic methods, strategic manegement methods, personnel management, bookkeping, marketing, logistics, wholesale and retail commerce, and of applying these in new situations, when solving complex and unpredictable problems. They can satisfy the requirements of operations research and project management in both the domestic and internationsl envi-rons. They are capable of practically exploiting their knowledge when materializing own research project, entrepreneurial plan and own firm business.
