Entry Requirement

  • Applicant must have a four year or longer B.S. or equivalent degree from an educational institution of recognized standing with at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 grade point scale
  • Programming skill with one modern higher level programming language, preferably C++, C#, or Java is required
  • Eighteen semester hours or equivalent in Computer Science from an educational institution of recognized standing, or at least 2 years of full-time professional software engineering experience

Application Process

Prepare documents for application

  • SOP:
    • A Statement of Purpose is required for certificate and degree programs
    • State the reasons for pursuing graduate study, specifying special interests within chosen discipline and including background preparation in that area
    • Mention any relevant skills or experience that are acquired
  • LOR:
    • Three letters of recommendation are required from persons familiar with applicants academic achievements
    • Letters cannot be more than two years old
    • Recommendation letters by paper, fax, or email will not be accepted
    • Recommendations must be submitted to the Graduate School via the online application system, Recommenders will receive an email with the link and instructions at the email address you provide for them on your application
