Level 1:
Prepare documents for application
- LOR:
- Submit three LOR
- One recommendation from your guidance counselor and two recommendations from teachers who have taught you in major academic courses (English, mathematics, social studies, sciences, foreign languages), preferably within the last two years of secondary school
- If applicants are applying to the Pratt School of Engineering, at least one recommendation should be from a math or science teacher
- ESSAY:
- Applicants must have to submit one-page personal (Long) essay in 650 words, questions are available on the website
- In addition to the above long essay, applicants also have to submit two short essays, where one is optional
- If students are applying to the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences as either a first-year or transfer applicant, please discuss why you consider Duke a good match for you. Is there something particular about Duke that attracts you? (150 words maximum)
- If students are applying to the Pratt School of Engineering as either a first-year or transfer applicant, please discuss why you want to study engineering and why you would like to study at Duke. (150 words maximum)

- Duke will not accept activity resumes for the 2016 application process. If you have information that you need to share with us that will not be reflected elsewhere in your application, you may add it to the Additional Information section of the application.

- University allow students to pay their tuition fee in monthly installments with the help of Tuition Management Systems:
- Fall balance July 1 – November 1
- Spring balance December 1 – April 1
- A non-refundable plan enrollment fee of $35 is charged
