The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations program in Geneva is designed to give students a global outlook on the business world. With the ever-increasing globalization of companies, it is essential to understand the complexities surrounding current affairs. 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Students of the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations program will learn how to analyze information gathered from reliable sources and will also learn how to effectively share insights and analysis with others.  

Students will learn how to:

  1. Identify the theoretical tools necessary to understand the international system. 
  2. Work efficiently in a multi-cultural environment. 
  3. Analyze why and how diplomacy is conducted.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE 

Option one: single qualification

This is a six-semester, three-year program with 210 ECTS. The first year is comprised of core courses to provide students with a solid base in all fundamental business areas. Specialization subjects are incorporated into the curriculum from the third semester onwards. On successfully completing six semesters, two final case studies and a dissertation, students earn a private, internationally-accredited bachelor’s degree from EU Business School Switzerland.

Option two: dual qualification

This is a seven semester, three-year program with 240 ECTS. The first-year core courses provide students with a solid base in all fundamental business areas. Specialization subjects are incorporated into the curriculum in the third, fourth and fifth semesters. In the third year, you will focus on international business modules to equip you with key managerial concepts, theories and tools necessary for any business field. Upon the successful completion of two final cases and a dissertation, you graduate with a private internationally-accredited bachelor’s degree from EU Business School Switzerland and a state-accredited BSc (Hons) in International Business from the University of Roehampton in London.

Students who wish to further their knowledge in a specialization can take an additional semester and earn a Diploma of Advanced Studies (30 ECTS) which is accredited and state-recognized (título propio) from Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM), Spain.

Prepare documents for application

LOR:

  • Submit two letters of recommendation from academic advisors familiar with academic performance and potential for leadership
  • Any letter not written in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation

ESSAY:

  • Write an essay or record a 2 to 3 minute video essay to be included in the application package
  • The essay should be on one of the following topics:
  • Tell us about the most challenging team experience you have had to date. What role did you play? What did you learn?
  • Please describe a personal failure that has impacted on your life and what you learned from it.
  • What achievement are you most proud of (studies, sports, professional life, etc.)?
  • If you could imagine an entirely different life from the one you lead, how would you want it to be?
  • Each of us has been influenced by people, events and situations in our lives. How have these influences shaped who you are today?
  • The essay will be evaluated on the basis of clarity, creativity, completeness of response, sentence structure, spelling, grammar and style
