The methods already learned in the bachelor's degree are deepened and supplemented by new methods in order to have the necessary tools for the analysis and solution of economic questions and problems. In specialized events, the methods learned are applied to specific economic issues, such as the computer-aided simulation of fiscal policy, and practiced repeatedly. At the end of your studies you will be able to prepare independent analyzes and develop both policy options and solutions for economic issues in the finance and insurance industry. You will encounter the following questions, among others:
How are climate targets related to economic growth and what are the consequences for optimal climate policy? How can the financial sector be regulated while taking stability requirements into account and at the same time preserving the advantages of a competitive environment? How can a fair tax system be implemented through a democratic process? What effects does demographic change have on social security systems and how can pension, health and long-term care insurance be financed in a sustainable, fair and efficient manner?
