A weekend in London, a backpacking trip through southern Europe, three months of voluntary work in Colombia, but also a walk in the city or a conversation with fellow students - in all these situations we notice: What separates us and perhaps seems strange is also that what enriches us and what we can learn from each other.
In the intercultural management focus, we build bridges between cultures and learn to unleash the constructive potential of globalization. We deal with the constitution of societies and their influence on communication processes in companies and organizations. We question values and apply our knowledge again and again to very practical questions of corporate management: How do I develop transcultural marketing strategies? How do I promote the intercultural competence of my employees? When is an idea that works well here ready for the international market?
We already apply our knowledge during our studies and can apply it to many practical projects at home and abroad. Thanks to the skills acquired here, we will later be able to take on responsibility in international companies, NGOs or institutions.
We are characterised by a particular mentality. Not only do we want to carry out research, we also want our research to change society. We want to bring about change; in the heads of people, with words, pictures, ideas - and with action. We do volunteer work in those areas that we are really passionate about. We go out onto the street to protest against injustice and to promote our cause. We get involved in social networks and start petitions, campaigns, and debates. We mobilise people, getting them to join us or to support our ideas through crowdfunding.
We want to change the world we live in, constructively and sustainably.
