The law on the reform of midwifery training (Midwifery Reform Act - HebRefG) provides for a complete academization of midwifery training. For this reason, the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) the Bachelor's degree in Midwifery Science, in which the students are prepared for the responsible job in obstetrics by receiving a practical and scientifically sound education. As a university, it is our goal through this offer to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the next few years and to contribute to better care by midwives in Germany.
