Re-Opening of Visa Application Centers for Canada in India

The Canadian government has announced that its Visa Application Centres (VACs) in India will resume its operation from November 20, 2020. The 6 cities selected for opening VACs in India are:

  1. Delhi
  2. Chandigarh
  3. Jalandhar
  4. Mumbai
  5. Ahmedabad
  6. Bengaluru

It will prioritize those applicants that fall in the category of international students and family class. Providing biometrics is the last remaining part of final visa approval for those in India who are permitted to travel to Canada with the first-stage approval of visa application.

While international students have been allowed to travel to Canada from October 20, International students who have not submitted biometrics could not travel to Canada. Now that Visa Centres in India are resuming their services, applicants will now be able to submit their biometrics information. So they can complete their visa application processes and travel to Canada.
