Canada had put restrictions on travel since March 18 due to the epidemic named coronavirus. It has been providing frequent updates to keep international people updated about their authority and services to move to Canada. Now there is great news that some of the Visa Application Centres (VACs) around the world are starting to open with limited services for its clients.

Now a few foreigners will again be able to complete their biometrics, which is very important to their applications for visitor visas, work visa, study visa, and permanent residency. At present total 23 VACs reported opened with limited services in the whole world:

VACs are beginning to offer some services. New health and safety measures are followed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Before you apply, ensure that:
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada () said that they are following certain measures regarding the health and safety of staff and the people who use the services at VACs.
All travellers to Canada will be quarantined for 14 days once they arrive, and be able to prove to the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers that they have an adequate quarantine plan.
Travel restrictions in Canada will be still in place until June 30 for most of the international people. At present, family members of Canadians, holders of work permit who are coming to do an essential service in Canada, and students whose student visa was approved before 18th march are exempt from this measure. Everyone else who is not a Canadian resident must prove that they are coming to Canada for an important reason.
A rush of visa applications is expected to cause delays in processing after the travel restrictions are scaled back. IRCC expects that by opening Visa Application Centres and the processing of moving applications will speed up once restrictions on travel are withdrawn. IRCC also says that any immigration application will not be cancelled because of not being able to collect or submit relevant documents for visa application due to the coronavirus crisis, especially in the case of biometrics collection.
